Artist, Creative Community Leader & Executive Recruiter
"Costume Jim" Glaser is the founder of the Kostume Kult arts collective, a cultural activist and C-level executive search consultant. With the lifelong goals of leaving a positive societal impact, Jim mixes these networks through a variety of art and business projects while continually connecting like minded creators, entrepreneurs and wonderful souls.
Kostume Kult (aka Costume Cultural Society) is NYC's largest, ongoing Burning Man camp that produces multiple, NY area events including several annual costume themed galas while participating in numerous parades, festivals and street theater events. Within the Burning Man movement, Kostume Kult is noted as a shining example of an all-volunteer organization that best represents its positive "10 Principal" ethos while continually recruiting new people into this large and growing intentional community.
Jim has been a proponent of "Open Source Culture" since 2009 when he was the recruiting director at Lime Wire, an open source, peer-peer project that hosted a number of Open Source meetups. Recognizing the philosophical affinities between Open Source and Conscious Creative Culture, Jim's "Open Kulture" (OK) project champions collaborative, middle-out, social good philosophies while his recruiting firm "OK Gigs" only represents clients and candidates who get this.
On Saturday night, 5.12, Kostume Kult will be hosting "Kryptopia", a technology and black-light intensive Burning Man camp fundraiser that is an homage/spoof of crypto mania that will feature a playful "IKO" for the KultKoin tokken project. The event will be at the Rosewood Theater in Manhattan (west midtown near the Javits Center) with full details at
