Melissa Felderman is from from New York, where she was introduced to the world of programmable electronics while working in advertising. A department in her agency was dedicated to building physically-interactive experiences and Melissa felt excited by the creative possibilities. This led to her decision to pursue a master’s degree at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU, where she focused her studies on programmable electronics, wearable electronics, digital fabrication, and design. Melissa spent my time exploring the intersection of technology and craft – working endless hours in Arduino, designing circuits, and on the laser cutter. She joined SparkFun Electronics in November 2016 and looks forward to making electronics more accessible to girls.
